Adding Collections to Astro

Creating a TIL Series

I could probably have made this an easier change using tags, but I didn’t want it to be just a tag archive. Since I want to keep these kind of ‘dev-log’ entries separate, I created a Today I Learned page to hold all entries. To populate it, I needed to:

• Create a collection and schema for them within content/_config.ts
• Import the collection to my main TIL.astro page.
• Create a folder for posts
• Create a folder and “.astro page to create the routing for each entry just to have it in case. Create a separate layout since I wanted it to have different frontmatter and display for the individual just-in-case pages.

If I wanted each entry to only display on the main page, I wouldn’t need the routing and layout pages.
